Napoli Tour & Shop: Do as the locals

Napoli è una continua scoperta e quando ti sembra di conoscerla e saperla amare, con un colpo di coda, Partenope ti fa innamorare ancora di più sorprendendoti appena giri l’angolo.

Grazie a tanti napoletani che amano la città e hanno voglia di offrire ai viaggiatori esperienze e punti di vista nuovi rispetto ai classici circuiti di visita che vengono proposti. In quest’ottica ho partecipato al Napoli Tour & Shop, un progetto pensato e prodotto dall’associazione socio-culturale “locus iste”  e da Ester Pizza , consulente di marketing ed ideatrice del blog “LuOgo LuNgo”.

“locus iste” svolge attività di valorizzazione e promozione del territorio con la finalità di proporre un diverso approccio alla fruizione del patrimonio culturale  campano facendo ricorso a tipologie narrative volte alla riscoperta e restituzione della memoria storica di un luogo. Laureati in conservazione dei beni culturali e in scienze naturali affiancati da Ester, che si occupa di ricerche di mercato e attività di comunicazione hanno svolto attività di ricerca e di individuazione degli itinerari, organizzando delle passeggiate in diversi quartieri cittadini ed offrendo al viaggiatore la possibilità di ascoltare dal vivo il legame tra cultura ed artigianato.

Il Tour infatti unirà alla visita culturale di monumenti, musei e angoli tipici della città un giro tra le botteghe artigiane che ancora si trovano tra i vicoli di partenope, portando avanti una tradizione storica e artistica unica quasi unica in Italia. Il tutto nasce da un’idea innovativa del viaggio e dello shopping mescolando la storia dei luoghi con la tradizione dell’eccellenza artigiana locale.

Gli itinerari proposti sono 3, dal quartiere collinare del Vomero al centro storico fino al magnifico quartiere di Chiaia, affacciato sul mare. Noi siamo stati invitati a partecipare proprio al primo di questi.

Il percorso prevede la visita dell’imponente Certosa di San Martino e una passeggiata per le caratteristiche strade del Vomero fino ad arrivare nell’antico Borgo d’Antignano, un angolo sconosciuto ai più, oltre che luogo antico di culto e borgo rustico di Napoli; denso di significato e di storia costituisce uno dei più antichi nuclei abitativi rurali di epoca romana.

Gli abitanti di questi vicoli, che furono anche casa di Giovanni Pontano, videro per la prima volta la liquefazione del sangue di San Gennaro, mentre l’edificio a due archi, sul cui fianco ancora campeggia l’iscrizione: “Qui si paga per gli regj censali”, ricorda che Antignano in epoca borbonica era divenuta sede del Dazio.

Contemporaneamente alla visita di quest’angolo dove la tradizione napoletana si esalta tra i banchi del marcato, sorprendente è stata la scoperta delle botteghe artigiane che tra i negozi delle grandi firme ancora fanno vivere la vera tradizione napoletana.

La prima ad accoglierci è stata Ornella, che nella sua Pelletteria Armenio (Via Merliani, 116), come una volta, lavora il cuoio a mano. Proprio il profumo di cuoi ti inonda quando scendi le poche scale che portano al laboratorio e l’occhio viene subito rapito dalla vecchia macchina per cucire e dai rocchetti colorati ancora attivi. Le borse, gli accessori riempiono la stanza con i colori che si alternano forti e tenui sui vari scaffali. Ciò che però ci colpisce sono le scatole traboccanti di forme da cui nasceranno, personalizzati, a misura ed unici, i tipici sandali capresi. Il laboratorio è uno stretto banco su cui si taglia, cuce e si crea la moda del periodo, ricca e luccicante come si faceva una volta.

napoli-shopping-tour (3)Ci inoltriamo poi lungo via Scarlatti, l’elegante corso del Vomero, ma in un portoncino che affaccia su un giardino nascosto c’è Amaltea (Via Solimena, 92), dove rivive la tradizione dei fiori stampati, un’antica arte tutta napoletana, grazie alla quale da semplici fogli colorati, da poveri pezzi di latta o dalle preziose stoffe di San Leucio fioriscono ricche composizioni. Nella bottega di Amaltea, dove si lavora con le antiche macchine restaurate la tradizione incontra le nuove forme del design, attraverso piccole opere di latta e ceramiche colorate i giovani artisti napoletani hanno un angolo completamente dedicato a loro.

napoli-shopping-tour (6)Personalizzazione ed unicità si incontrano Dietro Antignano (www.dietroantignanoartfactory.com), un art factory dove la tela delle navi diventa moda e la pittura diventa arte sui tessuti, un luogo in continuo fermento, dove osservare, lasciarsi trasportare dai colori, immergersi nelle fantasie che i pennelli creano e naturalmente dove fare shopping.
